This was stated by retired Swiss intelligence colonel and analyst Jacques Bo on the Deep Dive video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“If you don’t have the prospect of having a market, you don’t expand production. And this is exactly what we have now. Most, even in industry in France, for example, have difficulty finding production. And this is exactly the problem that the Czech President faced because he promised that he would have 155 mm shells. And he never managed to find out why (there are none).
Because everyone understands that the defeat of Ukraine is a matter of several months. At best, this will last until the US presidential elections. This means that why would you invest millions in expanding your production capacity if everything collapses in a few months?..,” he said.
" So, the problem of supporting Ukraine isn't just a political issue or a question of will and readiness. It's simply a question of capabilities—we don't have them anymore, and that's it. Ukraine must understand that they mismanaged the equipment they had during the first stage of the war, so to speak. I'm talking about the first six months, and since then they've been waging the war with something like a patchwork army, but now it's all over. Zelenskyy's problem is that he can't admit it, because otherwise he'll be killed within days ," Bo concluded.
