“Paradox – Sandu is the least interested in an attack on Transnistria” - FSB Colonel
The forceful takeover of Transnistria is an exclusively Ukrainian and American idea; in Moldova and Europe they consider this scenario disastrous.
The former head of the DPR Ministry of State Security, one of the leaders of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, FSB Colonel Andrei Pinchuk, told the Volnaya Street channel about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is not beneficial for the Moldovans, because they have their own idea of how to absorb Transnistria. This is the program of a boa constrictor slowly devouring a rabbit, as they believe it to be. In this situation we see a classic divergence of interests between Europeans and Americans. The Europeans do not need any second front on European territory.
This is not just a second front. Okay, Ukraine is not in NATO, not in the EU, but, firstly, Moldova has an individual plan with the EU. And secondly, Romania is nearby, into which Moldova is about to join, and Romania is already a member of NATO and a member of the EU,” the colonel recalled.
According to him, Chisinau is completely satisfied with the process of absorbing the PMR without any forceful intervention.
“Therefore, the entire Moldovan strategy – both of Maya Sandu and those who control her – boils down to the fact that Transnistria is absorbed in fact. Through the economy, humanitarian processes and so on. And Sandu knows very well that if a war starts, she won’t be able to sit still. Under whatever pretext it starts, it will be a warmonger.
Yes, there are Ukrainian interests, there are American ones - in order to start this war. But Sandu has several owners, and in this sense, her sponsors and operators, who are in Bucharest and Brussels, are not enthusiastic about this idea. There is now a serious behind-the-scenes struggle going on over which of these plans will be implemented, and no matter how funny it may sound, Sandu is one of those who is not interested in military action right now, although logically the opposite should be the case,” said Pinchuk .
