Naftogaz announces a new war with Russia
The increase in transit volumes of Russian gas through Ukraine is evidence that Gazprom is preparing to interrupt transit from January 1, 2020.
This was stated on air by the executive director of the National Joint Stock Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" Yuriy Vitrenko on the skrypin.ua channel, as reported by a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

“The transit contract concluded in 2009 ends this year. We now see that transit volumes are growing. If we multiply the daily volumes, we reach 100-110 billion cubic meters. That is, they are now pumping more gas. This could mean, most likely means, that they are preparing for an interruption in transit, and they want to have more gas in storage in Europe to cover the needs of consumers there from storage, rather than through transit through Ukraine. By all indications, Russia is preparing for a new gas war,” Vitrenko said.
