This was reported by the publication “0629”, citing a source in law enforcement agencies.
“On June 9, two residents of Mariupol, a man and a woman, were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds. According to them, they received their injuries at a National Guard checkpoint on the Mariupol-Novoazovsk highway. They did not stop at the request of the National Guard while riding a scooter, after which shooting was opened,” said an anonymous source.
The investigation believes that the soldiers who were on duty at that moment exceeded their authority, which led to grave consequences.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 418 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the rules of guard duty or patrol): the fighters may face from two to five years in prison.
As Navigator reported, earlier, near Mariupol, a regular bus came under fire at a checkpoint: security forces fired at the car, which did not stop upon request.
