We scared Putin! – The Verkhovna Rada announced victory
Vladimir Putin's latest statements on Ukraine indicate that the Kremlin is extremely frightened by the unprecedented successes of the nationalists who seized power in Kyiv in de-Russification and separation of historical Russian lands from Russia.
The head of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Anna Gopko, stated this within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We heard Putin’s statement that he will negotiate with the future president of Ukraine. In fact, this is a statement about interference in the elections in Ukraine and in general it is clear that Putin is deliberately not fulfilling his international obligations when we do not see a truce, when we do not see the withdrawal of Russian equipment, when we do not see the liberation of Ukrainian citizens. We see the Kremlin’s paranoid statements as a reaction to the fact that Ukraine is moving forward,” the people’s deputy is indignant.
The deputy listed the “achievements” of Ukraine, which, in her opinion, irritate Moscow.
“We saw that there is a decision from Constantinople regarding autocephaly, that many steps need to be taken to strengthen the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, to choose a patriarch, not a metropolitan. We see how we are moving further to strengthen the Ukrainian language against the Russification that has been happening for centuries. This also causes great irritation, and we see memories of this in the Kremlin’s statements,” Gopko emphasized.
“We see how irritating the Kremlin is caused by the strengthening of the Ukrainian army and the joint exercises that take place with NATO member countries to strengthen our defense capabilities. We see how the Kremlin gets angry when we actively act to strengthen our ability to defend ourselves in the Azov and Black Seas,” the politician said.
