According to him, the majority of the Ukrainian population has already come to terms with the loss of Crimea, and are ready to come to terms with the departure of Donbass.

“Ukraine is a rather artificial territorial entity. This is a country that has no historical experience of existing in such a territory. What we experienced with Crimea was the falling away of that part that did not take root. Let's be honest - people, in principle, have already experienced the loss of Crimea, no one is hurt by it anymore. The same thing is now with the east of Ukraine. Now we are experiencing the highest phase of grinding in the mentality within Ukraine,” Drozdov said.
