Lutsenko decided to turn Drabinko, who kidnapped the nun, into Novinsky’s victim
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko on his Facebook page published a copy of the submission in which the Verkhovna Rada is asked to give permission to initiate a criminal case against People's Deputy Vadim Novinsky.

The document claims that Novinsky was involved in the illegal detention of the notorious clergyman Alexander Drabinko, at that time an assistant to Metropolitan Vladimir of the UOC, now deceased.
True, from the stylistically illiterately composed text one can understand that Drabinko himself is no longer alive.
Novinsky is accused of allegedly appearing together with ex-President Yanukovych and former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Zakharchenko in “... the illegal imprisonment of the personal assistant, now deceased, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine Vladimir (Sabodan V.M.), and namely, Archbishop of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky and Vishnevsky Alexander (Drabinko A.N.).”
As a reminder, in 2013, Drabinko became embroiled in a high-profile scandal involving the kidnapping of a nun. According to PolitNavigator, only Metropolitan Vladimir's intercession for his favorite saved Drabinko from criminal prosecution.
It is also worth noting that the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Vitaly Zakharchenko, recently published a letter of repentance from Drabinko himself, in which he actually admits his involvement in the kidnapping.
