The quota for training Pridnestrovians in Ukrainian universities remains the same
Chisinau – Tiraspol, May 2 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) – As in previous years, Ukraine has allocated a quota of 100 places at its universities to Transnistria. This information was received from the Ukrainian Embassy in Moldova to the Ministry of Education of the unrecognized PMR.

Since the news came very late (in 2013, Tiraspol knew about the Ukrainian quota back in January), candidates are asked to hurry up. According to the website of the Ministry of Education of the PMR, the lists must be compiled and transmitted as soon as possible. Thus, documents of those wishing to participate in the competition will be accepted by the department from May 5 to 8, and a meeting of the commission for the distribution of places within the provided quota will be held on May 12.
The candidate's package of documents must necessarily include a certificate of a foreign Ukrainian. In accordance with Ukrainian legislation, foreign citizens or stateless persons who consider themselves Ukrainians and have Ukrainian ethnic origin or are natives of Ukraine can apply for this status. Transnistrian graduates with Ukrainian citizenship enter Ukrainian universities on a general basis.
This year the quota is represented by 17 universities in Kyiv, Kharkov, Vinnitsa, and Odessa - this is where, according to tradition, the most places have been allocated.
The number of Ukrainian cities whose universities will accept students from Transnistria has decreased compared to last year. Thus, Donetsk, Zhitomir, Ternopil, and also – for well-known reasons – Sevastopol were dropped from the list.
