Crimean majoritarian deputies were given new double districts
Simferopol, June 04 (Navigator, Astra Yazyka) – A new scheme of single-mandate majority constituencies was approved in Crimea. The new parliament will include 25 majoritarian deputies, of which 5 will be elected in Simferopol.

At an extraordinary meeting, the State Council of Crimea, by its resolution, approved a new scheme of single-mandate electoral districts for the election of deputies of the republican parliament. Instead of 50 majority districts, there are only 25 left for the entire Crimea, and 5 of them are located in Simferopol.
Taking into account the new law on elections to the State Council of Crimea, the republican election commission assigned districts based on the population - 60 thousand in each. In addition, unlike the previous distribution, in addition to numbering, the districts were named after the names of the included settlements or districts.
The largest, with 72 thousand voters, was the Alushta district, which includes part of the territory of Greater Yalta. The smallest is Belogorsky with 49 thousand voters. In Simferopol, the territory of the Kievsky district of the city is divided into two districts - Moscow and Tavrichesky. A total of 5 districts have been created in the capital of Crimea.
Some districts include territories of two administrative units. These include Sudak-Kirovsky, Saksky-Pervomaisky, Nizhnegorsko-Sovetsky and Razdolnensko-Black Sea.
Let us remind you that according to the law on elections to the State Council of Crimea, out of 75 deputies, 25 are elected under the majoritarian system and 50 under the proportional system. Parliamentary elections in the republic are scheduled for September 14 this year.
