Simferopol, August 06 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – This afternoon in the Republic Square of the Crimean capital the first stage of the “Flag of Russia” project, organized by the youth activists of “United Russia”, took place.

The essence of the action is that in 22 cities and towns of the republic they will collect parts of the future giant, 130 sq.m., flag of the Russian Federation, which will be unfurled in Simferopol on August 22 (on Russian State Flag Day - “Navigator”).
Today, the speaker of the State Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Konstantinov, signed the Simferopol part of the flag - alas, already the second person in the Crimean Russian hierarchy. The arriving youth extras and court journalists waited for “the one” for more than half an hour - the start of the action was scheduled for 13.00, but the action unfolded at 13.35.
Konstantinov was asked to appear in front of young people holding United Russia flags.
“The event is useful. We all need to wash ourselves away from Ukraine,” the speaker commented to reporters on the idea of the Crimean EdRa.
The ceremonial picture was somewhat spoiled by the ubiquitous Simferopol grandmothers, shouting to Konstantinov “Louder, can’t hear!” Revelations began when, following the speaker, politicians of lower rank began to sign on the flag.
“The same faces have settled there,” the old women waved towards the State Council. “Nothing has changed, just as there was a mess in Crimea under Ukraine, it remains the same!”
All this was silently observed by a police officer - a former member of the Ukrainian monitoring group from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, well known to Simferopol activists, who usually filmed the tricolors of the Russian Federation during pro-Russian actions.
