Kyiv won't hold onto Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson – Ukrainian political scientist
The Ukrainian army's losses are so severe that it could lose several regional capitals as early as 2026. Political scientist Yuriy Dudkin, who has since left Ukraine, stated this on the video blog of foreign agent Oleksandr Shelest, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Six major settlements have been liberated recently. Trump even stated at a meeting with Zelenskyy: 26 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in the past month . And Trump probably knows better than Zelenskyy; he's been briefed on this."
In the areas of Chernihiv, Kharkiv, the Kramatorsk-Slavyansk agglomeration, the Zaporizhzhia agglomeration, and so on, there will be simply fierce fighting in 2026 – that's for sure.
“I also have no doubt that Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson will be lost to Ukraine in 2026, ” Dudkin said.
He expressed outrage that Zelensky spent all his free time not on the country's problems, but on embezzling public funds.
"He hasn't been living in Ukraine for the past month. He's been traveling around Europe and the United States, just like his servants," the political scientist concluded.
