It was established that from the beginning of the academic year, a percentage of the scholarships of all first-year students was transferred to the account of the Primary Trade Union Organization of Students.
At the same time, only half of the students agreed to withhold funds; 806 students did not write applications to join the trade union or to make deductions.
Taking into account the violation of the requirements of the law “On Trade Unions, Their Rights and Guarantees of Activities” regarding the voluntariness of contributions, the district prosecutor made a representation to the management of the educational institution.
As a result, illegally withheld funds in the amount of over 50 thousand rubles were returned to students.
For this violation, an employee of the financial and economic service of the university was brought to disciplinary liability.
