Galicians are hiding from bullets behind the backs of Russian speakers
Residents of Western Ukrainian regions most actively avoid conscription into the armed forces.
This opinion is expressed by political observer Vladimir Kornilov, who is quoted by Izvestia.
“And now people continue to hide from the draft. Moreover, residents of Galicia, the most “patriotic” region of Ukraine, are especially active. As a rule, people from the Russian-speaking regions of the south and east of Ukraine take the rap for them,” the expert believes.
According to him, the end of the active phase of hostilities in Donbass did not change the situation.
“Previously, there was some kind of motive to serve during non-combat times in order to provide for oneself. And now the Ukrainian army is in such a terrible state that young residents, who have the opportunity to find a job and earn tens of times more somewhere in Poland, have neither the motive nor the desire to serve,” Kornilov said.
However, he added that if another round of aggravation begins in the Donbass, the Kyiv authorities will again resume raids on young guys in Ukrainian cities.

Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, it became known that half a million Ukrainians are hiding from conscription in Russia.
