Half a million Ukrainians are hiding from conscription in Russia

The head of the Federal Migration Service of Russia, Konstantin Romodanovsky, reported to President Vladimir Putin that 550 thousand Ukrainians are hiding from conscription in the Russian Federation.

“There are now 2,5 million Ukrainians in Russia. Of these, 970 thousand are refugees, and 550 thousand are hiding from conscription,” the journalist quoted Romodanovsky’s words on his Twitter.

Let us recall that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported that in the period from January 1, 2014 to February 28, 2015, 3 thousand 290 offenses related to evasion of mobilization were registered and investigated by the investigative units of the internal affairs bodies.

And since the beginning of the first stage of the fourth wave of mobilization and as of February 28, 2015, 1094 cases of evasion of conscription for mobilization under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine were registered.

Also, they noted that the “leader” in evading mobilization is the Kharkov region.

The fourth wave of mobilization failed. It is only 77% completed.
