Euro-romantics are shocked: Corrupt officials of Yanukovych under Poroshenko are rebuilding mansions of unprecedented luxury
Kiev, October 20 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The figures involved in the sensational scandal at the time with the purchase of the so-called “Boiko Rigs” (drilling rigs - author) for Chernomorneftegaz are Evgeny Bakulin, Vladimir and Sergey Katsuba, who were part of the close circle of the ex -President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, not only were not punished, but also improved their well-being.
This is stated in a joint journalistic investigation by the Espreso TV channel and Radio Liberty.

According to the author of the investigation, Natalya Sedletskaya, the mentioned individuals built themselves mansions in the Baroque style in the elite village of Khotyanovka near Kyiv, instead of being subjected to criminal prosecution for wasting budget funds.
“Not far from Kyiv, the construction of elite mansions of participants in one of the biggest corruption scandals of the Yanukovych era is being completed. After the revolution, they remained in Ukraine, and no, they were not immediately arrested on suspicion of embezzlement of budget funds, but move freely under the noses of law enforcement officers,” the author of the story is indignant.
Sedletskaya recalls that several years ago NJSC Naftogaz bought two drilling rigs abroad at a price almost twice the market value - for $400 million instead of $250 million.
Those involved in the purchase are people's deputy Vladimir Katsuba, his eldest son, also people's deputy Sergei Katsuba, his youngest son Alexander Katsuba, the then deputy head of Naftogaz and, in fact, the ex-head of Naftogaz Yevgeny Bakulin.
Now the partners, according to journalists, have built themselves several elite mansions on plots of 0,6 hectares. According to documents from the State Land Cadastre, one plot is registered in the name of Natalya Katsuba, the wife of People’s Deputy Vladimir Katsuba. The second is for Svetlana Bakulina, the third is for Nikolai Bakulin. These are the children of the ex-head of Naftogaz, Yevgeny Bakulin.
“We have now sent requests to Lithuania and other countries that are related to this operation (allegedly, towers were purchased through companies in these countries - author). As investigators reported to me, this case has a judicial perspective,” Prosecutor General of Ukraine Vitaly Yarema commented on the situation to reporters.
However, the authors of the story fear that the investigation will be delayed, while those involved in the scandal are running for people's deputies and, most likely, will once again receive immunity.
