Experts are surprised that there is still something to steal and blow up in Ukrainian warehouses
The overnight explosion of ammunition depots in the Chernihiv region is yet another attempt to conceal the theft of military equipment.
Political scientist Alexander Semchenko stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“It looks like someone was stealing again, and in a way that has proven itself to be a reliable way to hide abuses, the theft is being hidden again. I think it was just theft. Perhaps the weapons were sold to the Donbass, to that side, perhaps somewhere else. Poroshenko reacted to the incident somewhat unconventionally, more actively than in previous times. It is quite possible that this time he is off topic,” the expert suggested.

He recalled that in previous times investigations were carried out and each time they found some kind of switchman, which, according to the political scientist, will happen in this case as well.
“There were 88 thousand tons in this warehouse. It's a lot. It turns out that not everything has been blown up and stolen from us yet. There is still something to steal and something to explode,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
He also noted that this time few people are talking about the “hand of Moscow.”
“Apparently everyone has already realized that this is not even funny. There was neither Shkiryak with comments about sabotage, nor Gerashchenko. Journalists asked the Ministry of Emergency Situations questions about the possibility of sabotage, but the Ministry of Emergency Situations simply tell the indicators - how much ammunition there was, how many explosions occur per second, but do not put forward any versions. In this regard, they are acting cautiously,” Semchenko added.
