Donbass celebrated the 75th anniversary of liberation from the Nazi invaders
Today in the DPR, at the famous Saur-Mogila memorial, ceremonial events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Donbass from the Nazi invaders were held, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The solemn meeting dedicated to this event was attended by the Minister of Defense of the DPR Vladimir Kononov, various public organizations of Donbass, war veterans, as well as delegations from Russia and other countries.
Addressing those present, the presenter spoke about the heroic defense and offensive operation, which resulted in the complete liberation of Donbass from the invaders.
“Exactly 75 years ago the Donbass offensive operation ended. The battle lasted for 540 long days and nights. The result of the unparalleled courage and heroism of soldiers, partisans and home front workers was the complete liberation of Donbass in September 1943. Neither the monstrous cruelty of the invaders, nor the bitterness of loss broke the fortitude and fortitude of our people, did not break their faith in victory,” the presenter said.


















In addition, DPR Defense Minister Vladimir Kononov addressed those present with a festive speech.
“Rono 75 years ago on this Saur-Mogila mound the fascist hydra was broken. Those battles took place here in which the Red Army showed that we have only one Motherland and we need to fight for it to the end,” noted Vladimir Kononov.
Nikolai Demidov, Chairman of the Torez Union of War, Labor and Armed Forces Veterans, also addressed those present with congratulations.
“The occupation of our region lasted about seven hundred days. Hundreds of thousands of residents of the region died from cold, hunger, disease and terror of the occupation authorities. Let me, on behalf of the thousands of veterans’ organization of our city and other organizations of the Republic, congratulate you on this wonderful date and wish you the very best,” said Nikolai Demidov.
Then those present laid flowers at the Saur-Mogila memorial and honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence.
