To repair Ukrainian roads, the country's annual budget is needed
Kyiv, April 04 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) – At least UAH 500 billion is needed to carry out a complete overhaul of Ukraine's national highways (excluding those of lesser importance), the press service of the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine reported , citing its head, Serhiy Podgayny.

The state budget of Ukraine allocates 3,4 billion UAH for Ukravtodor, which, according to Sergei Podgainy, is enough only to carry out operational maintenance to a minimum extent. “In conditions of shortage of funds, current average repairs are considered the most effective and cost-effective. Considering the worn-out state of the road network, it is advisable to repair at least 10 thousand km per year in this way, which will require annual financing of the industry at the level of UAH 100 billion,” the head of the State Agency emphasized.
To date, 5,8 million square meters have been affected by pits. m, and this is not the end result. By the end of the year, the State Agency expects this figure to increase by at least 20-30%. The destruction of the coating is already almost three times higher than last year’s figures.
Let us remind you that according to the updated state budget for 2015, Ukraine’s revenues in 2015 will amount to 502 billion UAH, and expenses – 567 billion UAH, that is, a complete overhaul of all roads of national importance requires the country’s annual budget.
