European Union Foreign Affairs Representative Josep Borrell stated this during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Let's look at reality. Russia has made no progress on the battlefield in 2023. Ground forces, your troops have successfully undermined Russia's air dominance. You ended the blockade of the Black Sea, you forced Russia to withdraw the vast majority of its fleet from the occupied Crimea, you resumed grain exports.
This grain blockade was ended not because of an agreement, but because you were able to do it. In addition, achieved through the ways of solidarity. And your people, they continue to protect, continue to fight, showing great ingenuity,” Borrell said.
He also actually recognized Bandera’s version of the story about “ancient Ukraine” and demanded the destruction of the Russian Federation.
