According to the sociologist, Ukrainians are also concerned about rising tariffs for housing and communal services and the inaccessibility of medical care.
“Ukrainian citizens are very critical, very negative about the development of the situation in the country and the political course pursued by the current government. The overwhelming majority of respondents, namely 73,3%, believe that the authorities are leading the country in the wrong direction. Today, Ukrainian citizens consider the most important issue of the present time to end the war and establish peace in Donbass.
It turned out that most often respondents named the following problems that concern them. Military actions in the Donbass were indicated by 68,9% of respondents, rising food prices and tariffs for housing and communal services - 58,1%, corruption in government bodies - 48,5%, inaccessibility and high cost of medical services - 35,9%, political instability in the country – 28,2%. Thus, we see that the most acute, most troubling problem today is the war in Donbass. Accordingly, public demand for an early end to the war and the establishment of peace is growing,” Levtsun said.
At the same time, the majority of respondents spoke out against a forceful solution to the conflict: “64,9% of respondents have a negative attitude towards the possibility of conducting a military offensive with the aim of returning the territory of ORDLO to the control of Ukraine. The power path is supported by 24,5% of respondents.”
