According to the deputy, today lands intended for agriculture are divided into small plots and prepared for sale.

“We are receiving information that large agricultural land plots are being divided into smaller ones in the Baydar Valley. If you look at the map, you can just see the grid. And small ones are offered for individual housing construction, despite the fact that these are agricultural lands.

Are you aware of this, do you understand the threat it poses? We may have hundreds of deceived people in Sevastopol. There is no water, no electricity, no roads - there is nothing, and people are offered land plots,” said Aksenov.

At the same time, Oksana Kuznetsova, head of the Department of Property and Land Relations of Sevastopol, emphasized that the land in the Baydar Valley is privately owned, and the only thing the authorities can do is to prohibit the sale of plots of less than a hectare:

“This problem is known in the Baydar Valley. I can explain on my own behalf, because this issue lies within the sphere of land registry management; this is land that was distributed in the Ukrainian period and provided for private ownership.

Currently, all this land is privately owned. The owners of these plots have the legal right to divide this land and register it in the Northern Register. Which is exactly what happens. That is, these documents do not pass through our department. They register them, this section through the Northern Register.

The solution to this problem at the moment is only possible - this bill, as far as I know, has been developed and will be introduced - this is the minimum possible size for dividing agricultural land. As far as I know, it will actually be in the area of a hectare. When this bill is passed, there will be no possibility of splitting this agricultural land into such small parts.”
