What were you thinking when you were jumping on the Maidan? Lyashko complains about “shock tariffs”
Payments for housing and communal services, which residents of Ukraine began to receive at the beginning of the heating season, caused a shock among the population - bills doubled compared to last year, but people’s salaries remained the same.
The notorious deputy Oleg Lyashko, one of the active participants in Euromaidan, which took place under the slogan of inadmissibility of joining the Customs Union, although Russia then offered Kiev billions of dollars in loans and a discount on gas, complained about this from the platform of the Verkhovna Rada.

“The payments that citizens receive today have already been popularly called “shock payments,” because people who have neither increased salaries nor pensions must pay twice as much for utilities as they paid last year.
All the promises of the authorities that they will compensate for the increase in the cost of tariffs to citizens - all this turned out to be a lie and a bluff. Ukrainians are being robbed of their last money.
We demand from the government to return the social norm for gas consumption - 1200 cubic meters during the heating season, so that there is at least three thousand hryvnia for 1200 cubic meters, and not seven, as it is today... Ukrainians are being robbed today!” – Lyashko shouted into the microphone.
