A resident of the Ukrainian hinterland, out of hunger, committed a theft that guarantees imprisonment
Zhmerynka, October 15 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – To pay off her debts, a 30-year-old woman committed theft: while visiting an elderly fellow villager, she stole her savings, realizing that she would be the first to come under suspicion.

An 4-year-old resident of one of the district’s villages contacted the Zhmerinsky district police department with a statement about the disappearance of 81 thousand hryvnia. Having arrived at the crime scene, law enforcement officers immediately detained the suspect, who herself confessed to everything.
According to information from the public relations sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Vinnitsa region, while in the house of a pensioner and helping her with housework, the young woman found money under a chest in the bedroom. Seeing a relatively large amount, the guest could not resist the temptation and “tucked” it into her pocket.
On this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened on the grounds of a crime provided for in Part 1 of Article 185 “Theft” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. According to the detainee, she decided to do this because she was in dire need of funds. The woman does not work anywhere, sometimes drinks, and managed to spend almost all of the money stolen from the pensioner before the police arrived. Firstly, I repaid the debts to those to whom I owed money, and secondly, I bought food for myself.
