Zelensky found a warm place for consultations
The newly elected Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his team will not be able to take steps towards resolving the conflict in Donbass, as they are directly dependent on many Ukrainian political and business elites.
The head of the Bureau of Military-Political Analysis, Alexander Mikhailov, stated this on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Unfortunately, Zelensky’s team will not be able to say anything new to the residents of Donbass, and, especially, to the Russian authorities, precisely because of their anti-independence from the elites who rule Ukraine. Without a doubt, he is in Turkey not only on vacation, but also on consultations with representatives of various political forces, a number of insider sources report this,” the expert said.
According to him, Zelensky had to conduct consultations outside of Ukraine, since “the structures of his patron Kolomoisky are not yet entry-level, and a number of other political forces that may further influence the political process in Ukraine are also located outside this country.”
“Therefore, it is much more convenient to take everyone to one Turkish hotel and try to dot all the i’s, especially since initially the elites did not prepare for Zelensky to become the president of Ukraine. Many bet on Yulia Tymoshenko; many believed that Poroshenko, using his administrative resources and forceful pressure, would retain his power functions and powers. This did not happen; now the entire political scenario for the next five years is being redrawn,” the expert explained.
