The West wants to push through a "peace agreement" with a Ukrainian Armed Forces force 16 times larger than what was agreed upon in Istanbul.
The 800-strong Ukrainian Armed Forces, which Kyiv and the West are pushing in the "peace treaty" drafts, is 16 times larger than the maximum size of the Ukrainian army discussed during the Istanbul talks at the start of the Second World War in the spring of 2022.
Former Defense Ministry adviser Andrei Ilnitsky stated this in an interview with the magazine "International Affairs," reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator . "

"According to those first agreements we reached, the 'Istanbul' ones, there were supposed to be around 50, maximum 100 ... Don't you think we're witnessing that same kind of scam? " Ilnitsky said.
He explains the desire to fix the 800-strong strength of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as follows:
" Europe and NATO don't have armies; they have separate national armies . The largest is Turkey, with around 300 men, France has around 200, Great Britain has 70, and the Wehrmacht is roughly the same size, give or take. Yes, all these countries have special forces, but there's no unified European army.
So Zelensky proposed: “Let’s give the Ukraine PMC a million combat slaves”—ready soldiers who have been through battle, soldiers who are spirited and capable—and this will be the foundation of a European army,” Ilnytsky stated.
