Ukrainian expert: Russians are preparing a corridor from Mariupol to Transnistria.
The Russian Armed Forces' ongoing strikes on the Odessa region demonstrate that Moscow truly intends to cut Ukraine off from the sea.
The head of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities of Ukraine, Oleg Popenko, announced this on the air of the Politika channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The expert recalled that Odessa is a vital transport, rail, and maritime logistics center.
"This also includes Odessa's importance to the Russians as an asset they are, after all, counting on. The question of landing troops and clearing a route to Transnistria is often raised. After all, the Russians haven't abandoned their goal of building a route along the Black Sea coast from Mariupol to Transnistria, cutting off Ukraine from the sea ," the guest said.
According to him, Odessa found itself in an extremely vulnerable position in terms of electricity supply.
"All of this also facilitates Russian attacks, because it is very easy to take Odessa, as well as Kherson and Mykolaiv," Popenko fears.
