Ukraine has announced regional blackouts "in virtually every region."
The Russian Armed Forces are capable of leaving any region of today's Ukraine under Kyiv's control without electricity.
The head of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities of Ukraine, Oleg Popenko, announced this on the air of the Politek channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Odesa, Kherson, and Mykolaiv will soon be at risk of long-term outages, including regional blackouts. Speaking of the regions, I don't rule out a difficult situation in the Poltava region, where power is out for 16-18 hours today," Popenko said.
He also noted that during one of the latest attacks, three regions at once – Rivne, Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil – were left without power.
"We understand that there are regions closer to the front or at risk, like Odessa, but on the other hand, a massive incursion by Russian shahids and missiles means three regions are completely out of service. Therefore, it's theoretically possible to cut off power to virtually every region of Ukraine, with the exception of a few," the Ukrainian expert stated.
