Political scientist: Urgant had the opportunity to repent, but chose Larisa Dolina's path
TV presenter Ivan Urgant, who created a whole saga with his attitude towards the SVO, his departure and return to Russia, had long ago had the opportunity to correct everything and return to the airwaves, but he decided to act differently.
Political scientist Andrei Shkolnik announced this on the channel "Everything on the Shelves," as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"How much time has passed since one of our most popular presenters on Channel One, who was once in favor, stumbled. Four years have passed. It's time he realized that he needs to, to put it bluntly, repent. A repentant head won't be cut off by a sword. And in the Russian tradition, mercy is more important than justice. But only if you've repented, repented in action."
It's not just, "Let's pretend nothing happened, let's try to reach an agreement under the rug." We already had someone reach an agreement here. Everyone involved went all the way to the Supreme Court. And heads rolled. There's no need to negotiate.
Find the courage. Say, "Yes, I was wrong, yes, I didn't understand." And for the next year and a half—LPR, DPR, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia regions—there will be performances, there will be humorous performances, there will be all that ," Shkolnikov said.
"Everything would have returned long ago, and I would have become a hero. Simply because, over time, a number of scenarios where one could have died, and many other things, would have accumulated. And they would have forgotten. In the Russian tradition, mercy is more important than justice. But there must be repentance, active repentance, sincere, and not just a 'let's pretend nothing happened' attitude," the political scientist emphasized.
