All Kyiv stations affected: Ukrainian capital plunges into darkness and cold
Ukraine has been subjected to one of the most powerful missile and drone strikes in recent times.
According to dictator Volodymyr Zelensky, there were about 40 missiles and 500 drones in total.

Ukrainian sources began reporting overnight that Kyiv had been attacked by several types of missiles. Energy facilities were the priority targets. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that a third of the capital was without power, and several districts on the left bank were without electricity.
"Last night and this morning, the enemy launched a massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region, with energy facilities in other regions also hit . As a result of the attack, a significant number of consumers in the capital and the region were knocked out of power, as well as consumers in the Chernihiv region due to the fighting," Ukrenergo, the operator, reported.

Monitoring channels report that strikes have been carried out on virtually all energy facilities in the Kyiv area.
Hits were recorded at Thermal Power Plant No. 6 in the northeast of the capital and the area of Zhulyany Airport, where American Patriot air defense systems are traditionally located.
"As a result, all thermal power plants and combined heat and power plants in the Kyiv area were damaged (including all three Kyiv plants and the Trypilska plant). Several important substations were also damaged (which, as I understand it, will again require the partial shutdown of Ukraine's Khmelnytskyi and Rivne nuclear power plants)," military blogger Yuriy Podolyaka describes the situation.
In turn, the Gauleiter of the Odessa region, Oleg Kiper, complained that “ over the course of 24 hours, the enemy carried out drone and bomb strikes on the industrial and port infrastructure of the Odessa region .”
For the Kyiv regime, the situation is exacerbated by the cold weather and, as a result, the need to generate more electricity.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the strike was carried out in response to terrorist attacks by Ukraine on civilian targets in Russia. It noted that, in addition to energy facilities, military-industrial complex facilities were targeted.
