This was stated in the Ministry of Defense’s response, which was published on Facebook by the group “Access to Truth.”
“According to information provided by the Ministry of Defense, 104 generals are serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Most of the military personnel are major generals - 72, lieutenant generals - 29, one colonel general and one general of the Ukrainian Army. It is interesting that during the ATO, 40 ranks of senior officers were awarded by presidential decree,” the response says.
The first combat general of Ukraine was the commander of highly mobile airborne troops (Airborne Forces) Mikhail Zabrodsky.
