Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass shot a colleague instead of a target
In Donbass, as a result of criminal negligence, a Ukrainian Armed Forces militant who was repairing targets at a shooting range was shot by his fellow soldiers.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the LPR People's Militia Department, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The command of OTG “North” continues to hide the losses of personnel of subordinate units from the public, as well as the true reasons for the death of military personnel.
Thus, on March 23, in the area of the settlement of Dmitrovka, with militants of the 1st airborne battalion of the 80th brigade, night fire training exercises were conducted with practical shooting from small arms. The company commander, being at the starting line of the shooting area, was not convinced that there were no people in the firing sector and gave the command to open fire.
As a result, the militant, who at that time was carrying out work on repairing the target illumination, received multiple gunshot wounds incompatible with life. The brigade commander, Shvorak, decided not to report this incident to higher headquarters, and to present the fact of his subordinate’s death later as a result of shelling by the People’s Militia,” he said.
As a reminder, three Ukrainian servicemen were killed and four more were wounded in Donbass during provocative fire from a mortar that had long since expired.
