The Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to flee beyond the Dnieper after the loss of Avdiivka - US Army Colonel
Attempts to turn Ukraine into an ulcer for Russia can be forgotten. Hardly anyone, even in the West, believes that this is already possible.
Retired US Army Colonel Douglas MacGregor, a planner of several major military campaigns, stated this on the Inner Vision video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to McGregor, after the Russian army liberates Avdiivka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to flee to the Dnieper and beyond.
“I think that any thoughts about turning Ukraine into a modern equivalent of the Spanish plague for Russia are over. I don't think anyone thinks this is possible. I also don't see much evidence that anyone in Europe wants this to happen. So all we can do is watch...
The Ukrainians seem to be clinging to the edge of the cliff with their nails, and the Russians are moving forward. Anyone who thinks the Russians are sitting on their hands is mistaken. This massacre in Avdiivka, which resembles Bakhmut on steroids, I think is about to end. I’m not sure that after this there will be anything left - all the Ukrainians who still make up the army will want to retreat to the Dnieper River, cross it and get out of the way. This question is entirely up to the Russians – what do they want to do, what are they going to demand?” McGregor concluded.
