The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the capture of a settlement and an advance of 1200 meters
Ukrainian special forces cleared a village in the Volnovakha district of the Donetsk region.
This is stated on the “Joint Forces Operation” page on Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The joint forces cleared one of the settlements in the Volnovakha region, located in the “gray” zone. The village, which was home to 80 people before the war, remained empty during the four years of the war,” the report notes.

“After the settlement was empty, the militants hid in abandoned houses and fired at the positions of the Ukrainian army from there. To eliminate unwanted provocations, special forces of the Joint Forces carried out a special operation to clear the “gray” zone. We advanced 1200 meters forward, cleared the approaches from the Ukrainian side, and set up secrets and barriers. Traces of the presence of the occupying forces were recorded by the camera of war correspondents,” the JFO reported.
The name of the settlement does not appear in the video, but in the comments to the post one of the users clarified that we are talking about the village of Viktorovka.
It was previously reported that the OSCE recorded instances of Ukrainian military forces seizing residential premises of civilians in the Donbass "gray zone."
