The head of the Ukrainian mission to NATO, Vadim Prystaiko, spoke about this in an interview with the Ukrainian Week magazine.
“Ukraine still participates in all NATO operations. The volume of our contributions, of course, now correlates with our needs in the East. But even by this time, 40 Ukrainian military personnel are in Kosovo. We also participate in the NATO Rapid Reaction Force (these are forces that must be ready to deploy to any part of the Alliance within 24 hours). Our aircraft is on duty and can be used in the bloc’s operations,” said the Ukrainian diplomat.
In addition, he clarified, Ukraine is “additionally training paratroopers and specialists” in radiological, chemical, biological and nuclear protection.
“Our military must be ready to conduct joint operations, provide NATO-style logistics, and be guided by common military standards and rules of engagement for the Alliance. Actually, this is what we are working on now, such daily work is not always interesting, but in fact it is the most important and takes up most of the time,” Prystaiko said.
