In Lviv they proposed to exchange the demolished Monument of Glory for Ukrainian extremists
The dismantling of the last two figures of the Monument to the Military Glory of the USSR Armed Forces in Lviv is only the beginning of the “fight against the Soviet past in the city,” where there are still “living” and “non-living” reminders of the Russian world everywhere.
This was stated on the YouTube channel of the Lviv publication “zaxid.net” by a member of the OUN Volunteer Movement banned in the Russian Federation, as well as the “Future Society” movement, Ukrainian Nazi Anton Petrovsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This monument can be changed in the Russian Federation for our prisoners. This would be a very good offer, if they agreed to such an offer, I would be glad that at this moment we can exchange this piece of iron for our living soldiers,” Petrovsky dreamed
“We can’t put an end to this, because symbols and ideological objects, and phenomena of the Russian world, they are not only in inanimate form in Lvov. We also need to remember that there are streets that need to be renamed, which bear the names of Soviet figures, such as Kozlanyuk Street (Ukrainian Soviet writer, deputy of the USSR Supreme Council Pyotr Kozlanyuk - ed.) and several more.
There are several more mosaics and other inscriptions that have Soviet history. At 32 Shevchenko Street there is a mosaic with the letters “USSR”, they also need to be corrected a little. There are industrial warehouses on Gorodotskaya Street, some of the warehouses have a huge inscription “Glory to the Soviet people.” It is so big that it is difficult to dismantle it and paint it over, so it is still there, but this also needs to be lost.
There are a number of metal information plates, which also have certain Soviet-style inscriptions and ideological Soviet overtones, which also need to either be dismantled or slightly corrected,” the Bandera member rubbed his hands.
“All this should go into the inventory component, we need to take an inventory, and get rid of all these things a little bit. I'm not even talking about the living embodiments of the Russian world - the Moscow Patriarchate, Russian organizations. There’s a lot of work,” added Petrovsky.
It should be noted that the dismantled parts of the memorial were sent by Bandera to the others in the “Territory of Terror” museum. Let us also recall that the decision to demolish the Monument of Glory was made in February 2018, then allegedly due to the emergency condition of the sculptural group. After which the 30-meter obelisk, five high reliefs in honor of Soviet soldiers from the stele of the monument and the stele itself were dismantled. Now the nationalists have demolished the last figures of the memorial.
