Vakarov threatened to punch Goncharenko in the face because of Skabeeva
Ukrainian political scientist Vasily Vakar said on the Rossiya-1 TV channel that he was ready to attack with his fists the Ukrainian deputies who tried to insult the Russian journalist Olga Skabeeva in PACE.
“First, about the main thing - about Olga Skabeeva. I know her personally, she has invited me to the show more than once. I respect her as a professional and as a woman. If I had been there, I would have punched Goncharenko and everyone else in the face. This is a normal act – a man protects a woman,” Vakarov said.
He also does not share the desire of the Ukrainian delegation to prevent Russian colleagues from participating in the work of PACE.

“I don’t want the Russian delegation to leave PACE. Let our delegations argue, but they have a platform for negotiations. Where else will representatives of our authorities communicate,” the political scientist added.
Let us recall that at PACE, Ukrainian deputies surrounded Skabeeva, sang the anthem, and shouted "Death to the enemies!", while Borislav Bereza snatched the microphone from the journalist and threw it on the floor.
