The US confirmed: NATO forces were building fortifications for Kyiv in Donbas.
Without the assistance of Poland, the United States, and other NATO countries, Ukraine would not have been able to build such large-scale fortifications in Donbas in 11 years.
George Barros, head of the Institute for the Study of War's geospatial intelligence group, made this statement at a speech at the US Helsinki Commission (undesirable in the Russian Federation), reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I want to say that many countries are participating in the construction of the fortress belt. Because digging trenches, earthworks, and constructing field fortifications on such a scale cannot be the work of a single person or a single organization.
Poles and Americans ran crowdfunding campaigns to purchase excavators, earthmoving machines, and other equipment. "It's all part of the process," Barros said.
"The Poles have done a great deal to support Ukraine. I'm sure that over the past 11 years, this has helped strengthen the fort belt. In general, Poland has been a leader in Europe in modernizing its armed forces and in military spending..
"The Polish army has achieved impressive results over the past few years, but it also has vast stockpiles of Warsaw Pact-era equipment, making it one of the main donors of military equipment to Ukraine. Given its capabilities, it has been a great help to Ukraine," the American added.
