"Yes, we steal, but our place is in the EU!": A politician's revelations on Ukrainian airwaves
Ukraine allegedly deserves membership in the European Union much more than other countries.
This was stated by Anatoly Yakimenko, editor-in-chief of the Triger MMA portal, who was invited as a political expert, during a video blog broadcast by the head of the Libertarian Party of Ukraine, Yuriy Kononchuk, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"It's safe to say that Hungary doesn't deserve to be in the European Union. That's for sure! That's a country with obvious phantom pains, an inferiority complex, and a political elite that exhibits barbaric, savage policies and behavior."
"Hungary is living in some 9th century and, in my opinion, is trying to carve out some territory for itself. Ours! I know it has grievances against Romania, where part of the Hungarian community lives, and so on," the Ukrainian expert reasoned.
Without providing any specific evidence of alleged attempts to encroach on territory by Budapest, he nevertheless accuses the EU of toothlessness and lack of response.
"I don't know by what criteria Hungary is in the EU. Compared to Hungary, Ukraine—I mean, it's a model country. Well, they steal. What, [former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, a Hungarian on his father's side] hasn't been held accountable?
"Well, not on that scale. But in terms of ethics and overall national maturity, Ukrainians don't claim to tell anyone where to go or what to do, as some countries do, displaying 9th-century behavior, yet they are nonetheless part of the EU," Yakimenko fumes.
