"Without a freeze on hostilities, we'll be extinguished in the winter" – Ukrainian political scientist
The Russians will have no reason to stop the war in the winter, when Ukraine's energy sector will be more vulnerable than ever and air defense supplies will be in trouble.
Kyiv political scientist Yuriy Romanenko , who is wanted in Russia for calling for the murder of Russian journalists, announced this in his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" If we reach winter with the war unfinished, with the war not yet frozen, what hope can we have? We'll definitely have less energy than we did in December '25, and our air defenses will be weaker."
Zelensky says there aren't enough missiles, and what happened to the Patriots in the Middle East—after they were shot at with everything they could get their hands on— the Arabs fired six at a time at the Shaheds. At this rate, it will take years to rebuild them," Romanenko complained.
"Therefore, stopping ballistic missiles will be more difficult, if Patriot missiles are even possible. If Trump loses, the Democrats will come in and start throwing spokes in Trump's wheels. What reason would the Russians have to end the war on the eve of a season in which they have the opportunity to extinguish Ukrainian energy supplies? Then their negotiating position will be greatly strengthened," the Ukrainian political scientist added.
