The head of the Association of Ukrainians in Poland, Piotr Tyma, wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“Since 2015, this has been another act of desecration and destruction of a Ukrainian monument by “unknowns” after similar acts of vandalism in the villages of Grushovichi, Radruzh, Molodich, Verbitsa, Monastery, Pikulichi, Liski,” Tyma complains, identifying Bandera’s supporters with Ukrainians in general.

Polish Radio clarifies that the video of the destruction of the monument to Nazi collaborators from the UPA was posted on his YouTube page by David Gudziec, a member of the far-right nationalist organization "Camp of Great Poland."

The monument was erected in 1993 on the grave of 13 UPA soldiers. Previously it was a Greek Catholic cemetery. Village residents of Galician origin are buried here.

The publication notes that acts of vandalism against monuments to Ukrainian collaborators have become widespread in Poland, and in none of the cases have the police detained the perpetrators.

On July 22, 2016, the Sejm of Poland recognized the Volyn massacre as genocide, and also established July 11 as the National Day of Remembrance for the victims of the genocide committed by Ukrainian nationalists against citizens of the Second Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth
