In Crimea they are proud of the peninsula’s security from enemies
The military capabilities of Russia stationed in Crimea are welcomed by Crimeans as a guarantee of their security, and the residents of the peninsula themselves are even more convinced of the correctness of the choice made in 2014.
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy, former adviser to the Sevastopol governor Vadim Kolesnichenko said this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As a resident of Crimea, I am satisfied with the actions of the Russian Federation for our security. We are all residents of Crimea and I, as a resident of Sevastopol, in particular, know about all the actions of the Russian Federation to increase the defense capability and, most importantly, the security of Crimea. We are proud of this and clearly know that in Crimea we definitely have no chance for anything. At the same time, the Russian Federation does this publicly, with the participation of the media, and constantly publishes about it, where and what kind of protection we have,” the politician noted.
“As for the question that someone doesn’t like something about Crimea belonging to Russia. I remind you that three weeks ago a sociology was conducted and, practically, even more residents of Crimea confirmed their willingness to live, again, in Russia, and confirm their choice,” the politician concluded.
