Kiev admitted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered difficult losses in Ichnya
Ukraine has lost significant reserves of mines and shells for MLRS and tanks, which are now exploding at a burning arsenal in the Chernigov region.
This was stated on air by Yuriy Butusov, editor of the propaganda website "Censor.net," who is close to Ukrainian Security Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, on TV channel 112, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
It is noted that in conditions of a total shortage of ammunition in the Ukrainian army, these are difficult to replace losses.
“Ammunition storage facilities containing 120-mm mortar mines, BM-21 Grad rockets, 122-mm howitzer shells and 125-mm tank shells exploded. The most valuable thing that was blown up - in principle, all ammunition has value and is very high in fact, but the loss of mortar shells is very painful for us. We have a shortage of almost all types of ammunition now,” Butusov said.
He was supported on the NewsOne TV channel by the ex-head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Nikolai Malomuzh.
“It is clear that this is an undermining of our defense capability and material losses. Besides the fact that we do not have a cartridge factory today, and ammunition replenishment is now limited. That is, we now have material losses, both combat and, to some extent, image losses,” laments Malomuzh.
PolitNavigator previously reported that the explosions of shells at the 6th Arsenal in the Chernihiv region may be connected to an attempt to cover up traces of ammunition theft.
Yuri Butusov also stated that a drone from Russia was to blame for the fire at the arsenal.
And the leader of the nationalists, Rada deputy Andriy Biletsky, demanded that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko dismiss Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko due to explosions at ammunition depots.
Ridus reported that there were approximately 88 thousand tons of ammunition in the burning military warehouses near Chernigov.
Kyiv acknowledged that the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered irreparable losses in Ichnia.
