“Crimea” battalion commander Krasnov was released from custody in Kyiv

In Kyiv, the commander of the nationalist “Crimea” battalion, Stanislav Krasnov, who was arrested several months ago on charges of espionage for Russia, has been released from custody.

This was announced by Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk.

The SBU previously distributed an audio recording that allegedly recorded conversations between Krasnov and his Russian curator. Krasnov’s defense argued that he collaborated with Ukrainian counterintelligence and it was on its instructions that he misled the Russian intelligence services.

Last year Krasnov was one of the most active participants in the terrorist action of the “blockade of Crimea.”
