Another rally of Serbian Maidan protesters failed in Belgrade
Last Saturday, Serbian Maidan protesters held their traditional protest rally in the center of Belgrade, the 24th since the start of street demonstrations by the pro-Western opposition at the end of last year. Opponents of President Aleksandar Vucic continue to lose popularity. The current rally turned out to be chaotic, attracting only about two thousand people, although the media supporting the opposition tried to prove the opposite with the help of fraud.

As reported by PolitNavigator , the protest began at 18:00 PM with a gathering near the Moskva Hotel. Dragan Djilas, leader of the Alliance for Serbia, was also present, but the main speakers were Maidan journalist Nenad Kulačin, biology professor Biljana Stojković, and Dalibor Stanojević, organizer of opposition protests in the small town of Knjaževac.
The professor spoke first. She dedicated her speech to the problem of “false” diplomas and scientific degrees, which are allegedly issued to people “with a party card.” Stojkovic called on teachers and students against such practices.
The next speaker, journalist Kulacin, announced that in Serbia it is necessary to “win freedom every 15-20 years.”
“We've been protesting for six months and it's good that we woke up. No one can stop the protests. It doesn’t matter how many of us there are, who we are, who stands, and who says what, what matters is that we are ready to fight this regime,” the speaker said, in fact, acknowledging the decline in mass participation in the exhausting opposition rallies.
Then the Maidan workers, having formed a column, marched towards the editorial offices of objectionable media outlets that criticized the opposition. The first stop was at the editorial office of the Informer newspaper, and then at Evening News, Politics, Radio Belgrade, RTS.
The gathering ended in the “Free Zone” in Pioneer Park, where the opposition set up tents, “filling up space” for the Maidan, which, contrary to the expectations of the organizers, never grew, although initially it was promised that protesters would block the entire center of Belgrade.
Meanwhile, a message came from the city of Novi Sad that the office of President Vučić’s Serbian Progressive Party had been attacked there. This is not the first such attack on a party organization.
Party representatives in a statement to Informer made it clear that the pogrom could have been carried out by opposition militants, whose main sponsors are pro-Western officials removed from power who dream of returning to high positions.
“The City Committee of the Serbian Progressive Party in Novi Sad believes that customers and executors should be sought precisely among those who, for seven years, have been bothered by the fact that their brazen robbery of citizens has been stopped, and that in the future there is not the slightest chance that they will again won the trust of citizens,” party representatives said.
