"A Fortified Area for Nazis" - Rogov Assesses the Prospects of Assaulting Zaporozhye
The city of Zaporozhye is too well defended for a frontal assault, so the Russian army will have to bypass it and encircle it.
This was stated on air by Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, on the air of Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“If the current pace of advance continues, then in what prospects can we expect the liberation of Zaporozhye?” the presenter asked.
"Zaporizhzhya is a really big city, about thirty kilometers. It is quite elongated, Lenin Avenue alone, which was renamed Soborny, takes up fifteen kilometers.
"Plus , there's dense residential development, high-rise buildings, and industrial facilities. Just look at Zaporizhstal, which belongs to the same scoundrel as Azovstal – Akhmetov. Entire fortified areas for the Nazis were built on their base ," Rogov said.
"Therefore, entering the city head-on will be very difficult and challenging. In my opinion, it's best to bypass it along the Dnieper and further north, encircle it . Our guys already know how to do this; just look at Vuhledar and what's happening now in Kurakhovo," the expert added.
