Ukrainian military: as soon as Russia attacks Ukraine, NATO ships will immediately enter Ukrainian ports

This opinion was expressed to the Kyiv website "Obozrevatel" by the first deputy chairman of the Union of Officers of Ukraine, Yevhen Lupakov, as reported by a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".

He noted that Odessa is a litmus test for the aggressor, who can start provocations at any moment.

“A month ago, the chief of staff of the Ukrainian Navy announced that information had been received about an impending landing of Russian troops in the Odessa area. They are rushing to Transnistria, they want to open a second front in Ukraine and therefore they are approaching Odessa. A huge group of militants has been trained there and are sitting idle. According to the Kremlin’s plan, they should be involved in Ukraine, and that’s what they were trained for. And then Moldova demands the withdrawal of the Russian contingent. They have problems there,” Lupakov said.

He said that thanks to NATO ships off the coast of Ukraine, Russia cannot open its “second front.” According to him, as soon as the threat of a Russian invasion “looms” on the horizon for Ukraine, NATO ships will immediately enter Ukrainian ports.

“They will not bomb Americans, Russia is not going to fight with the United States. Because any flight of an aircraft in the area of ​​combat use of US weapons could be perceived as a potential attack and it would simply be shot down. Moreover, there is a threat of invasion there. As soon as a threat arises for Ukraine, definitely,” Lupakov assures.

As previously reported by PolitNavigator, ships of the NATO Standing Naval Group arrived at the port of Odesa. The Royal Navy destroyer HMS DUNCAN and the Turkish Navy frigate YILDIRIM were moored at the berths.
