Ukrainian colonel: Russian missiles are forcing us to surrender
The Russian army has a virtually inexhaustible supply of missiles that cover the entire territory of Ukraine.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Oleg Zhdanov, a former colonel in the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, wrote about this in the Kyiv magazine Novoye Vremya.
“As for the missile strikes that Putin’s military machine covered almost all of Ukraine in the last week, this is already a strategic intent. Missile strikes are the concept of forcing Ukraine to surrender. Putin is trying to shake society so that we surrender and do not resist his army,” the author concludes.
He also believes that Russia has enough of this type of weapons.
“Unfortunately, the Russian Federation has a lot of missiles. And there is another situation: if one range of missiles runs out, then they receive another range. The main issue here is for our leadership to work quickly and effectively with our partners in terms of obtaining missile defense capabilities. There is also talk about NASAMS, and about IRIS, and about PATRIOT.
Therefore, we need to resolve the issue so that these complexes are handed over to us as soon as possible. As soon as we get all this, it will significantly strengthen the air defense, and then the ability to shoot down these missiles will be much greater. Then Putin’s efforts to blackmail with missiles will be useless: they will launch missiles at us, and we will shoot them down,” Zhdanov hopes.
