The Ukrainian minister spewed out a new portion of Russophobia
Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan spoke of Russia's 400-year "occupation" and wished for its swift collapse. The official made this statement on the ZIK television channel, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Omelyan explained that the experience of the Baltic countries shows that Ukrainians now only go to the West - there they will have rest, work and business connections.

“We have no reason to look back or lie down near Moscow and look in this direction. Our direction is the European Union and NATO. Enough, we have already been there for 400 years - the country is destroyed, millions of people are tortured...
Ukraine is moving towards the EU. And we, simply, are adopting the same Baltic experience. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, and I wish the same for the current Russian Empire, the Balts went to the EU, not to Russia.
The same goes for Ukrainians, if they want to relax, work, make business contacts, go to the European Union,” Omelyan said.
Earlier, Omelyan, speaking on Ukrainian television, urged Ukrainian citizens to avoid traveling to Russia and stated that the EU welcomes Ukrainians with open arms . The minister also announced the cancellation of passenger rail service between Russia and Ukraine.
