Ukrainian militant accused Zelensky of demoralizing the army
Ukrainian military personnel are outraged by the criminal case brought against those involved in the failed hijacking of a Russian plane . Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, participant in the punitive operation in Donbass, Andrei Teteruk, stated this on the air of the Pryamoy TV channel, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Our deputies from the mono-majority allow themselves absolutely shameful comments regarding our military or citizens of Ukraine in general. It feels like they are completely lost and don’t feel the ground under their feet.
I know what decision-making and consequences are like in conditions of absolute uncertainty during combat operations. I do not want the violation of the rights and freedoms of an individual citizen to demoralize others to make responsible decisions that are made every day at all levels, from the sergeant to the Commander-in-Chief.
If I were in power, I would try my best to close this case, because using its pattern, absolutely everyone who makes decisions can be held accountable,” Teteruk said.
He noted that the motivation of Ukrainian officers will now drop even more, because they understand that they may face trial for any decision.
“Illegal behavior with a serviceman who did everything possible to weaken the Russian Federation and strengthen Ukraine as much as possible will have resonance, simply excommunication from everyone who is now carrying out combat missions with arms in hand.
Because they understand perfectly well that anyone who is trying to cause damage to the enemy can be attracted to the Ukrainian authorities absolutely without reason. This can be demoralizing and deprive of healthy initiative, which is very necessary during a battle,” the ex-ATO fighter lamented.
