The Russian army seriously destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces grouping near Soledar, which is now being repeated near Artemovsk.
This was stated on the air of the "Pryamoy" TV channel by the former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, former deputy special forces officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
“Now the Russians, actively using their advantage in artillery, are trying to inflict as much fire damage as possible on our equipment and our manpower. Task number one for the Russians: simply grind the forces and means that we have in the Bakhmut direction in this terrible meat grinder of war for the purpose of a further possible offensive in certain directions,” the general said.
According to him, for the current day, certain Russian artillery units have allegedly been given the task of using two rounds of ammunition in half a day.
“This is quite a large number. We must understand that these strikes are delivered not just into the void over a general territory, but against specific targets, specific settlements. Soledar at one time destroyed a huge number of our fighters, because the problem is that near Soledar the Russians threw their penal battalion, their prisoners against our regular units.
Our regular units, unfortunately, suffered very heavy losses in the Soledar direction, but they retained their regular units and will now use them according to their offensive plan, as they want,” Krivonos said.
